Kate Drane believes in the power of “we” over “me.” Crowdfunding is a perfect demonstration of this. Last fall she ran a campaign for her small business The Can Van, which helped her to hone her skills and understanding of crowdfunding. Additionally, she is lucky enough to live and breathe crowdfunding everyday in her day job as Indiegogo’s Director of Market Development for the Design and Technology verticals. In addition, she is an organizer of SoupSF, which brings crowdfunding to the community level, connecting great local projects directly with their neighbors who want to see it thrive.
